Privacy Policy

For parents and guardians: this page is written to you. The short version: what your student shares is encrypted and used only to help them learn, never sold, never used to train AI models, and never used for advertising. You can see it or delete it at any time.

1. What We Keep, and Why

We are not a data business. We do not sell information, we do not use it to train AI models, and we will never advertise to your student. What we keep, we keep for one reason only: so the Fellow actually works for them.

The account: the email address used to sign up. Accounts are created by us for known families; there is no open self-serve signup.
Conversations, and what the Fellow learns about how your student learns: kept and encrypted (see Security, below) so the Fellow can remember where they left off and meet them at their level. You can ask to see it or delete it whenever you want.
Basic technical information: what any website needs to load (such as device and browser type).

2. How We Use This Information

Only to provide the service: to sign your student in, to let the Fellow remember them between sessions, and to keep the service working and safe. Never for advertising, never for profiling beyond the learning itself.

3. Third-Party Services

To run the service we rely on a small number of providers, including Anthropic (the Claude AI model that powers the Fellow), our hosting and database providers, and a voice provider for speech. These providers process data only to deliver their part of the service and under their own commitments. Conversations are not used to train their models.

4. Security

Information is encrypted in transit (over HTTPS / TLS) and encrypted at rest with AES-256, the same standard approved to protect classified government information.

5. Data Retention, and Your Control as a Parent

We keep the account and conversation history while the account is active, so the Fellow stays useful across sessions. As the parent or guardian, you can contact us at any time to review what is held or to have it deleted entirely.

6. AI-Generated Content

The Fellow's responses are generated by an AI system. See our Disclaimer for what it is and is not.

7. Your Rights (Canada, PIPEDA)

Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you have the right to access the personal information we hold, to ask us to correct it, and to withdraw consent and request deletion, on your own behalf and on behalf of your student. 8. Cookies

We use only the essential cookies and local storage needed to keep your student signed in and to remember their settings. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies, ever.
